reCAPTCHA Mobile Image Verification

I appreciate the attempt to stop/slow down bots from abusing the authentication mechanism via reCaptcha when it is used for non-Bot verification on a mobile device. However on a phone, the 3x3 grid of nine pictures is ridiculously small for 4-6" screens. While I could tolerate having to manually review one by one as a full screen display size image to determine which are to be "selected" for the criteria, that too would probably not be a good UI experience.
