iPad Magic Keyboard causes chat to break
Hey,
just wanted to report a bug where the chat layout breaks when you have the Magic Keyboard connected on iPadOS.
To reproduce connect a Magic Keyboard and focus the chat.
Then switch out of the Discord app and switch back in and the message history will be pushed out of the screen leaving a giant offset between the last post and the bottom of the screen.

I’m also facing the same issue and it’s really really annoying.
it happens everytime I switch out and back to discord app and I can’t fix it unless if I restart the app.
Please fix.

Same here. I'm on iOS with a keyboard 90% of the time I'm using discord, and this makes it pretty much unusable.

I have the same issue and constantly have to completely restart the app by swiping up to kill it, then restart discord. Then a minute later the next time I switch back in to the app, the same problem again. It's not just a visual bug too, it prevents me from typing and sending any messages. iOS 15.2.1

Same here. This is super obnoxious. In most cases just removing my ipad from the keyboard and reattaching it will fix it, at least temporarily, but in split screen it’s even worse and I have no choice but to force-quit Discord.

This seems to happen when the keyboard goes into that little icon in the middle. If you activate the full keyboard the window snaps back. If you set it to show keyboard it lines up fine, but then you have this huge keyboard taking up half of the screen which doesn’t make sense if you are using a physical keyboard and makes it hard to read and type at the same time.
It just seems like a mess, the area where the keyboard icon in the lower left also pushes the text entry up wasting space when the keyboard is hidden.

I ‘fixed’ this issue by removing all extra keyboards and turning Predictive off in the settings. This way the little floaty keyboard menu doesn’t appear, but unfortunately you are locked into using one keyboard layout.

Its getting to the point where I can’t use discord if I have to swap between apps for work. Which I do. Constantly :(0 -

HEY Y'ALL. I just updated to iPadOS 15.3, and am hopeful that it might have fixed this. I'm not seeing it right at the moment, and 15.3 fixed some other scrolling-related weirdness I was seeing elsewhere on 15.2.
It's too early to celebrate, but I hope this was something Apple screwed up and has un-screwed-up.

Still experiencing this bug on the M1 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard.
As someone else has said, this makes the app virtually unusable on iPad. It is not an issue with iPad OS or user keyboard configuration. I have not experienced this problem with any other apps - it is exclusive to the Discord app.
This bug does not occur on the web version.
