Use Standard Mac Shortcut for New Line when Composing Messages

The Mac Discord app uses the Windows/Linux-style "shift+enter" shortcut to add a new line when composing a message without actually sending that message. The standard Mac keyboard shortcut for doing that is "option+return" (which ends up being "alt+enter" on a PC keyboard), which works everywhere else in the OS, so it's jarring that it doesn't work like that in Discord. Slack gets this right, so it's not just an Electron thing, though Teams gets it wrong, so it's not just Discord getting this wrong.

Could this be changed for Mac users to use the standard Mac shortcut? Or an option to pick the shortcut to add a new line without sending the message?
