Display a notification badge on KDE
I'm have Discord installed on my machine running Manjaro KDE.
On Windows, when there were unread DMs, a notification badge was shown on the taskbar icon, but on KDE this isn't the case without a workaround. Installing libunity—an Ubuntu library—works, however the library is quite old and finicky to build successfully.
Can this feature be supported in KDE without the use of libunity?

Same issue with manjaro here

It's been 5 months, and notification badges have been outright broken even with libunity for a while now. I'm on the newest Discord version available through pacman, 0.0.19, and my libunity version is 7.1.4. Notification badges are enabled both in Discord's settings and in KDE's settings. Can you guys look into this? Do I need to file a bug report?
Looking into it for a bit, KDE has its own alternative that could be implemented. Assuming you can call native code from Electron, should be trivial. I didn't look that hard, though
Notifications show up and I get the notification sound, no problem. Just the badges are broken

At least on Discord Canary, there is bug which makes notification badge not working. So I made this service, which fixes is, and it works perfectly now: https://github.com/gamelaster/discord-linux-notification-badge-fix
