Limit who can message you

i want more options on who can message you or add you.

like for example if someone that does not share a server with me or has any mutual friends and prevent them from adding or messaging me....i feel this will lessen the scam DM's

    Hi elen,

    seems you can not read so maybe this reply will not help you but if you take a look into your discord settings, there are options for this! These settings are under 'settings' -> 'privacy & safety'.

    elen it seems you are not wrong about this, however joe mama. Henceforth, disabling some of the options might reduce the amount of stinkies in your inbox. have a good day elen!

    On the desktop client, click the ⚙️gear icon next to your profile picture at the bottom left, then go to Privacy & Safety. 

    You can change the following option to limit who can send you a Direct Message:
    Allow direct messages from server members - Turn off this option and users who you share a mutual server with will only be able to DM you if you have added them as a friend. (Changing this option will only apply to future servers you join, not existing servers you are already a member of. To turn off DMs from those servers, read below)

    Additionally, you can enable/disable DMs from specific servers by going to the server settings and clicking Privacy, then toggling on or off Direct Messages.
