Videos that don't embed properly can't be downloaded

For the longest time, Discord has been incapable of embedding the storage saving format of video that iOS and Android use by default. That was annoying but fine since I could at least download the video and play it on my phone. Now, however, the download just fails on these videos. Even if I open them in browser, I have to edit the link to change media. to cdn. and .net to .com and only then am I able to view the video. How this was broken with an update I do not understand.
