New update is terrible
This is a really bad update all over. The default text size didn't need to be changed, the default space between messages didn't need to be changed. There didn't need to be vibration added to opening and closing server folders.
All of that stuff it terrible but I could eventually get used to it, what I can't get use to is the way mobile voice chat works now. The join button didn't need to be changed, I don't understand the need to add a "join as muted" button. It's not that hard to mute right after joining. There's also no reason to be able to deafen yourself before joining a call either! Now once joined, there is an extremely loud noise on my end telling me I joined or left, don't need that. There's also an extremely loud noise when other people join or leave too. I'm glad I don't use headphones or that would be painful. The original volume was fine, it didn't need to be bass boosted. Same with the muting and unmuting noise. Didn't need to be louder or bass boosted.
Discord mobile voice overlay now only shows my portrait even if I'm in a call with 10 other people. It's only my portrait shown. I use the overlay so i can see when /others/ are talking, not when I'm talking. And even then, there's a delay between when I start talking to when my portrait lights up so i think discord didn't catch the first part of my sentence when it actually did. I've also had a problem where the voice chat menu will stay stuck in landscape mode when my phone is in portrait and I can't access the leave or join button unless I restart my phone.
Please roll back this update, no one likes it.
Edit: I have found new problems with discord mobile.
When in voice chat, if I'm watching a friend's stream and I want to go to portrait from landscape, I have to stop watching to stream and restart it in portrait otherwise it cuts off the right side of the video.
I've always had a problem with vc where if I watch an ad from a game on my phone, discord will cut off my microphone and make everyone else super loud. This wasn't a problem and easy to avoid, but now the mic cut off and everyone made super loud happens when I stop watching someone stream or they stop streaming while I'm watching. To fix this, I have to disconnect and come back. This is ridiculous.

wow i hadn't even used voicechat on mobile. As soon as I saw the changes to the UI for the voicechat, I basically puked and decided to never join a call on my phone again.
Maybe they want people to stop using their app...1 -
I have no idea how that unoptimized React Native garbage made it past quality checks, it's horrible!The performance of the app went from good to unusable, it's not acceptable.
Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped; this app is now TRASH.I used this tutorial on how to revert back to the old native android style app, and I'm sticking to it!
