New Username Requirements (a-z,0-9,._) makes it harder on Slavic, Asian, etc. peoples to add friends

As stated in the title, the new username parameters will make it harder for people who use East Asian, Slavic, etc. to create usernames and add friends.

It is a great oversight in accessibility to not allow for non-Latin language characters in usernames. According to what I have read this was one of the main reasons that discord became popular in East Asia.

This all makes it way harder on them to add friends, counteractive to what the announcement proclaims with the new system

  Of course you are right! And this particular point has been brought up to discord MULTIPLE times. But they haven't been listening.

  Might be time to look for somewhere else to chat.
