disallow bot slash commands in text chats that the bot doesn't have access to

You probably already figured this out, but an interaction (e.g a slash command) is different than the bot user itself. A bot can respond to slash commands even though it isn't in a server, similar to webhooks. You can deny people the slash command permissions for that channel or per-role to block them.

ah, my bad! ngl I didn't see the option for it until this comment pointed out that this *was* actually there! it is the last option so I must have turned my brain off once I scrolled down that far when I originally looked.

That sucks though if you want one bot to respond and not another one in a particular channel. They should at least give us a switch that would remove slash commands display for a particular bot in a particular channel. With several bots in the sever that respond to slash commands, the slash commands really start to clutter up things. I like the slashes but the way it is implemented is a time waster and confusing for the user if you have 4 or 5 bots slash commands appearing in a channel the bot does not even have access to...something that could sort of make this tolerable is being able to order the bot list shown whey you type a slash so that the one you want to use first in the list (this is not really the best solution but, if they can't be turned off for a certain bot then let us put the one we want to respond at the top of the list.) Right now I do not see a way to order the list of bots shown when you initiate the slash command. If there is a way to do this please let me know.
