I have no idea how this site works

I went onto the **Reddit Cello Meetup Discord Server** as per the welcome email and attempted to answer the questions, but got stuck at "Have you read the server rules?"  I don't know where the server rules are.  The Discord site (and even the emails) just don't make much sense to me.  I have no idea how this site works and I can't find a simple explanation anywhere.

  This is really vague, but i'm willing to try and explain and help you, do you have any prior experience using discord ?
  If not, do you have any experience in using other client based communication software, like Skype, TeamSpeak or whatsapp ?

  Thank you, Greed.  No, I have no experience using Discord, otherwise I'd have at least a clue.  I'd think, if while answering Charlie Cello's questions and asked if we've read the rules, that there'd at least be a link to the aforementioned.  If my posting is vague it's because I find Discord to be very vague.  The only other client-based communication software I've used is Zoom and one other that I can't recall (just once), but almost entirely an an invitee.  I've had very little experience with Zoom as a meeting initiator.
  
  Is there a Getting Started video anywhere?

  Everyone said OH GET DISCORD I have it and no clue what it is, how it works or why I even need it for gaming. What do I do first, second third. There is NOTHING to guide you to getting started or even what it does . Think I'll just free up the space this app takes and go along with life without it. Right now that's all it's doing. Taking up space on my hard drive.
