Unable to update or reinstall
This morning when opening discord, the program continually spun around trying to apply an update. As I have done previously, I uninstalled the program and redownloaded the setup tool, but have been unable to install the program even when running the installer as an administrator. I have uninstalled and deleted the files from the registry and am still unable to reinstall the desktop application.
Unsure what else I can do to reinstall the desktop app. I can use the browser in the meantime, but am unable to adjust my output correctly outside of the desktop application.

Have you tried completely removing all files of Discord? You should find them here:
C:\Users\AppData\Roaming
C:\Users\AppData\Local
C:\Users\AppData\LocalLow

Hi,
I have tried removing all the files from the AppData folder as mentioned multiple times before posting this thread yesterday. I have also used a program to scan for left over registry information after uninstalling, and my computer is clean of any left over files.
I restarted my router, and computer multiple times, and after every failed attempt to install Discord, I cleaned out the AppData folders again.
I tried downloading both the versions linked above and I am still unable to install on my desktop, which is running windows 10 and is up to date with all windows updates as of yesterday.
I am still unable to install Discord on my desktop, but installing on my laptop worked. Even when running the installer as administrator, all I continue to get is the screen saying "Checking for Updates". If I leave it long enough it continually fails and goes around in an endless cycle of "Checking for Updates again in 1 minute" with no success.
Discord worked fine on my desktop two days ago, but the problems all started when I was unable to update yesterday and I uninstalled as I had done in the past when this was an issue, but for some reason now I am unable to get the installer to work just on my desktop computer.
