Discord Something is going on here..

I was thinking why we have to verify with phone, since many teens still don't have phones. Discord should get a email verification which is easier for everyone because everyone has an email. Without an email, you wouldn't be able to get in, and some users have difficulty getting on even with phone

    I'm sorry if I sound rude. But which teen/kid over the age of 13 does not own have a phone?
    Also I'm very sure Discord already has E-Mail verification. I could be wrong here, but I remember getting sent an E-Mail once to make sure it's actually me.

    Thank you for letting me know. Yeah, I wasn't so sure. I, too, think they should definitely add an E-Mail as a valid method of verification. It just sounds reasonable to have them both, in case this exact thing happening where the user does not have an own mobile number.
    By the way, try contacting support to help you on that matter.

    We do not have your Phone Number. We have the verification so we know you're not a bot or that someone else is logged into your account. This usually happens when something bad is going on in your Account. To prevent that from happening we set up a verification so we know you did not get Hacked.     Alright, so I think I know whats going on. Couple days ago, a guy sent me a discord nitro link. When I clicked on it, it was a rickroll. Some people said it was an IP grabber. Could that be the reason I have to verify my phone number?
