Phone Authentication/Verification

If another account has your phone number registered but it isn't your account and you don't want to be registered, why is there no way to just remove the phone number from all accounts? You can easily send a message saying "oh this is a part of a different account," but you can't be like "Not your account? Remove your phone number from the discord account at this like at https://blalbal.com." Now, I'm unable to authenticate my phone number to my own discord account, and that's a bit of a problem.
