The changes do not look nice: white mentions and the darkened background on reactions does not contrast well in the dark theme.

  I definitely agree, the new update doesn't look great at all in contrast to the rest of the interface.

  It's garish and unsubtle. I want to turn off the outline in particular. It looks particularly bad with custom emojis, which often have much smaller and lower-contrast details than default emojis, which get outshined by the high-contrast lavender outline in dark mode.

  I don't feel like the people who made the design changes thought much about how they'd mesh with other design aspects of the app.

  The new tags are so bright it always looks like you're hovering over them, nothing else is this bright.

  The new everyone tag doesn't even match the new or old style of tags.

  The new reactions having an outline when you add to it looks incredibly out of place since there's almost no other outlines in their ui design, if any.

  And the new shade of green for online users is less of a soft color, doesn't fit as well as the old green did with the other statuses.

  Overall it's a really disappointing update, change can be good but this isn't it.
