Revert new reaction and @ bolding
Discord has just changed how these two things look. I don't like this change so I'm making this post to hopefully get it reverted. I know that's unlikely but I'm sure at least one person might agree with me. Almost everybody dislikes UI redesigns, especially in a scenario like this where it wasn't broken in the first place.
Even if its not fully reverted an option to go back would be nice.

Imo I think the should at least gave us the option to revert the color palette to the original cyan, it just looked so much better and clean. And most importantly the @ tags and for the reactions I think they look nice and modern but still this update is no bueno...

I'm totally in support of Discord rebranding. That's fine but I feel like the new ping color being white is just really distracting and looks more out of place than a dumpster in the middle of Central Park, NY. I do like the new blurple color, it makes things pop out a bit more but I'd prefer it if I were able to choose to turn it on or off. It is a little eye searing with the dark theme, if I'm being honest.

I eventually learned to live with the old UI redesign of last year but, just like with that one, I hope for a toggle somewhere in settings. These new colours and emboldened fonts as well as reactions just make me feel nauseous, and while the green is doable the new blurple and logo make me feel like quitting after 6 years of using Discord.

I've literally never used the discord website or feedback function. Didnt have to. My client applied the new update today and the first thing I noticed is how ugly the new reaction system is. I figured something like this would happen with the Microsoft buyout, but this might actually be it for me. Time to find a new platform. :|

with the new fonts and texts it feels like disney bought discord and will soon replace every discord sound with random musics

I think that the new colours and changes should be optional. It is hideous to look at and nobody asked for any changes. The colours were cool and unique to Discord. And If I'm being honest here, it's been completely ruined. And the Mentions and Reactions are absolutely revolting. Just because some people get annoyed at being pinged, doesn't mean that the whole @ system should be revamped to be less obtrusive-looking.

This UI update is definitely something that must be discarded. I can't think of a single thing that this has improved. There were a number of specifics I was going to go into, but after a quick read of the other comments, it looks like they've all already been put forth. I suppose this comment serves mostly as a reinforcer, really. But yeah, please revert.

I hate the new update too, the reaction border kinda hurts my eyes, discord is just breaking things at this point, no idea why companies like to change things that didn't need any change.
