Unable to download videos and images using the Discord app on Android (Download Failed) message

Hey guys, so today I have tried downloading images and videos from the Discord app while using my phone which is an Android device but when I hit the download button while in the app it will say "Download Failed" at the bottom of my screen.

I have tried clearing caches on the Google Play store, Google Play Services, and Discord apps as well as restarting my device but still no matter how many times I try it still says Download failed at the bottom of my screen.

Any help on how to fix this?

    I'm having the exact same issue. I have uninstalled, cleared cache, restated phone, tried every basic trouble shooting step i can think of and still cant download anything in the app

    We ALL need to report this bug and contact discord so they know the problem is on their end. I already reported it myself and the responded with the usual "turn it off and on again" none of it worked and I let them know multiple people are having this problem and it's on their end not ours.

    Having the same issue here. I'm glad I not the only one having this problem. I hope they notice that it's not just a small thing.

    I have the same problem, guys. I tried even reinstall the app and it still doesn't want to download any images, but at the same time I can UPLOAD them, it seems so wrong. I hope this bug will be fixed soon (and gonna report about this too, as the_Skeleton did)

    same here,mine's on android 8, and cant download stuffs since the beginning i installed the app, it works though if i advanced the pic or vid to chrome, then download it there. but its still uncomfortable to do that Everytime. cant even enjoy memes man.come on Discord.

    So everyone! In order to get around this for now... this is NOT a fix but a solution. At the top open the image or video in browser then down load it from there.

    Same problem. I'm on a Oneplus 3T on Android 9.

    Tried clearing cache, rebooting and reinstalling Discord. Nothing worked.

    Strangely I also can't find any pictures previously downloaded through Discord.

    I'm also on Android, and thought it was my device space. However, after clearing a good portion of it, i still get this error.

    Same issue for me.
    Started a few days ago, I'm assuming after the app on my mobile installed a new update.

    I used the download feature for images on my Discord mobile on a daily basis, so this has been beyond frustrating and bothersome.

    Using an LG G6 running Android 9 and im unable to download images, etc. It just tells me it failed to download.
