Android Push Notifications without mention for Bots

I've had the issue that time critical messages from a bot were not sending out push notifications on android.

At first i thought it was a more general problem like here:

But after some testing i could rule out server size, number of posted messages and faulty notification settings.

Since i am notified of other users' messages in the same channel, the status as a bot is the only thing left that could be blocking push notifications.

This behaviour additionally makes no sense as i receive push notifications from the same bot just fine on windows. I also see the notifications of the app is open, they just never turn into push notifications, so unless i glue my phone to my face i will miss most of the messages.
