Proposal for Introduction of Regional Nitro Pricing in India

It's time to address Nitro pricing for Indian Discord users. At 850 rupees (equivalent to $10.17 USD), the current Nitro subscription price in India is not only higher than the $10 price tag in the US but also significantly out of reach for many Indian users, especially considering the average income barely touches $3,000 annually.

Let's put this into perspective - Basic Nitro costs 289 rupees in India ($3.46 USD), whereas it's merely $2.99 in the US. This clear difference is unjustifiable, particularly when we consider the economic realities faced by Indian users.

Even countries like Turkey, with a higher average income (<$12,000), gets to enjoy their Nitro pricing at $3.2. And that too, the $3.2 was raised from around $2 this month. It's evident that your current pricing strategy does not reflect the economic disparities across regions especially for India.

India is currently the most populous country in the world. And mind you that Millions of Indian users would be willing to pay for Nitro if it's pricing is reduced. The current prices are very very unjustified when even a country which is 30 times richer than India has cheaper Nitro prices.

We want the Discord team to reevaluate their pricing structure and introduce regional pricing for Nitro in India, setting it at a more reasonable range of $3 to $4. This adjustment is very much gonna be beneficial for the Indian market, and could help generate a lot of revenue for Discord.

You have to ensure that all Discord users, regardless of their location, should have equal access to premium features at fair and affordable prices. After all, regional pricing is introduced wealthy nations like Japan, South Korea, Poland, and Australia, India deserves no less especially the citizens having a very low annual income.
