Nitro Subscription Should Remove Advertisements

I just saw the newly added advertisement “feature” and am very unhappy with it. Every other application I use removes advertisements if you are paying for a subscription, and I don't understand why Discord doesn't also do this. I pay subscriptions because I'm sick of seeing advertisements everywhere I look.

I hope to see this changed very soon, or I'll be moving my communities back to self-hosted platforms that don't force paying subscribers to stare at ads.

    Absolutely agree with this. It's frustrating and confusing why a platform like Discord, which offers premium subscriptions, would still subject paying customers to advertisements. It goes against the basic principle of subscribing to remove ads…

    Hopefully, Discord will reconsider and prioritize the ad-free experience for its paying users soon. Otherwise, there are enough other free solutions to switch to or to self-host.

    The last thing I want a a PUBG quest/advertisement when I'm a paying user. If this doesn't get removed for Nirto users I'm cancelling.
