Allow option for DM without friend or mutual server
I use Discord daily and have since 2015, closely when discord was founded.
I like many others use Discord to communicate for mainly personal use, but also some business. It would be great if Discord added an option to allow incoming direct messages from users without being friends or having a mutual server. Currently many people run servers to let others message them for support or questions related to business stuff. As someone who doesn’t want to run a public server, it would be great to let people like myself get direct messages from random people for support so I don’t have to run a public server and deal with the hassle if that, and also so I don’t have to add a hundred people to my friends list, many who may never message more than a few times. It would also be good considering there is a 1000 friend limit.
It would be great, regardless if it’s a free or paid (Nitro) feature.

this… would be horrible regarding spam and making harassment easier, making blocking users useless. usually if i need a question answered from a community, id just keep the server tucked in a folder or let some one else manage the server.

Of course, it should be optional not forced :) or an alternative would be a higher friend limit, and friend folders to put people in groups for better organization
