PLEASE delete every upon account deletion,

This is extremely unsafe for a platform that advertises to teenagers and has been asked from everybody for YEARS now. retaining messages isn't safe at all making doxing and blackmailing easier for “bad actors”. even if the feature needs to take a week to a month to wipe all DMs on one side would be fine. but leaving it even after your account is delete is horrible, cause if some one forgets to remove their name or selfie pic, that image remains forever and they are unable to access their deleted account, this is a huge risk.  and not GDPR compliant at all.
