I lost my account to one of those phishing scams 6 months ago and have received zero help on the matter.

    The same thing it's happening to me. I've sent a request and so far no answer and also lucky they didn't get my money. I also want my discord account back.

    I'm sorry to be this person to say it but that was genuinely your fault.. I don't see how discord can help you when it was your mistake to give a hacker your details… They could give u an email reset password and stuff but like either way if they dont help you, you shouldnt blame them?

    Hey, I’m just gonna chime in here, I’m with Bordem. Yes, I should’ve been smarter about all of this, but that’s how many of these scams work. I genuinely didn’t know about stuff like this, even though I have been on Discord for 5 years. These scams take advantage of fear and ignorance, you cannot fault me for being afraid and not thinking clearly when a creep is shouting threats to get you and your IP banned if you don’t cooperate. It discombobulates you and makes you unable to focus.


    Regardless of whether it was my fault or not, regardless of Discord’s own TOS, it is still their responsibility to help people who have been hurt by scams like this. And they’ve been nothing but negligent this whole time for me and many others who have lost their accounts. I don’t believe for even a second that there’s a single human being working Discord support right now. And until they get some actual humans working this thing? It’s gonna be the same old song and dance of everyone’s tickets being “solved” even though they’ve done literally nothing.


    My latest one? Was marked after only 2 days! I’ve lost track of how many tickets I’ve sent out. I know that at some point they’ll all be seen as spam, they probably are right now, but this is why you need the human touch when trying to solve actual problems. Not an algorithm.

    I also agree and I am convinced there is not a SINGLE living person in the support department of discord. It is their job to make a safe platform for us and when they let scams and doxxing go on, it defeats that’s statement, they are actively driving themselves into the ground with the lack of support, Insisting that AI moderation is a good idea, and now is retroactively banning more users, mixed with the nonexistent support, discord is going to be slamming into a wall soon.

    I’ll be Frank? I don’t think Discord is worth trying to salvage or stay on anymore. Given how unreasonably incompetent and slow the AI support is, not even having human support staff. I’ve been seeing a ton of people being falsely suspended for false claims of their age, and… I find that repulsive, no not just repulsive, idiotic and anger-inducing to the point of causing an embolism.


    If this is how Discord is gonna be from now on? I don’t know if I even WANT my account back, or to futilely try to make another, because the last one I made was disabled after 30 minutes when I did… NOTHING! I didn’t even have a friend or conversation in that time with my attempt at a backup! Some false claim of whatever, their artificial intelligence is purely incompetent and incapable of helping anybody.


    I genuinely blame no one for wanting to jump ship from Discord after all of this. I don’t think my account is worth saving anymore; but I keep trying because of the sunken cost fallacy. I’ve wasted, 6 months of MY LIFE sending ticket after ticket, after ticket, after ticket, after ticket! Because I believe SOMEWHERE IN THIS COMPANY is a human being that can help people that have been seriously hurt by this sort of trouble like myself! Why is reclaiming a hacked account so hard!? Especially when I provide screenshots and proof of it being MINE!?


    I reiterate EternalBoredom’s statement that I don’t believe, not for one single solitary microsecond, that there is a SINGLE LIVING HUMAN BEING in the Discord support department. But I keep doing this, because I believe someone working on this site that is human like… I dunno, someone who just dusts the mainframes or whatever, I believe they will see this and know how to help me? Please? This is deriving me legitimately mad.

    yeah I don’t think there is a single living person expect Jason (I think that’s the CEOs name?) working there, it seems like to make a higher pay they will keep letting people go, and I do see discord worth jumping ship as soon as the next thing comes along, I see revolt as the next thing and have been trying to move my friends from here to there.


    Discord has cursed me with my own stupidity, I can’t just let my account go because I want personal information and such I’ve posted long ago deleted, but discord and their infinite wisdom won’t help me, throwing loops or saying it’s not in their policy when it damn well is. This whole thing has caused some mental issues

    for reclaiming a hacked account I’m shocked and floored that discord makes it so hard, they collect so much data on us that they are telling us it’s not traceable to a certain account?? they can’t even tell us an accounts original Email? pathetic, this is just lazy management and support.
