Recording Option for Voice Chat

It would be a great addon to the program to have a preset recording option for voice chat, just like other applications (Teamspeak for example). Simply, you start the recording with the click of your mouse and at the end it would be coded in a common audio file (.wav or .mp4 for example) and stored in the folder you have selected. To identify that someone is recording in the chat it could activate a notification by means of written text or an icon in the user who is recording. Of course this option should be add to the configurable permissions. So you could choose which rooms you can record and who can record. As Podcasters (https://www.ivoox.com/escuchar-elitecast-2-0_nq_223541_1.html) we have been waiting for this option to exist in the application so that we can finally move to it for the recording of the programs.     Messaging apps, reference a phone. This isn't impossible, but voice message in computers? How record this?

    Adding voice messages really would be an improvement. Those are, as far as i can tell so far, one of the few things missing from Discord to make it really complete.

    Messenger has good example.
    Hold down record button to record and release to send.
    In here perhaps allow us to preview the recording before sending.

    I am still paying for a Mumble server for exactly this reason. The convenience of Mumble's built in recording to do Lets Play group commentary is too much to give up.

    This would such a great idea! Much like in Whatsapp, I would like to record audios and send them to my friends from time to time since calling doesn't usually works for me.

    That would be a good use for tutorial videos... :)

    Question is, how long would it be made available...? Voice and video (recorded) takes up space... (probably nitro only?)

    As much as I like this feature in WhatsApp, I don't think it will fit discord. I use WhatsApp to communicate with people I know IRL and no one else. With Discord instead, most of the people I talk to are complete strangers. If voice messages become a thing, they'll become something abused by trolls to send inappropriate messages.

    for anyone confused, I believe they mean voice messages? fyi the closest thing to voice messages as of now is the tts feature... to send a tts (text to speech) message use /tts anywhere that you have permissions to send a tts message

    Because of the potential for spammers and other types of abuse, I think if this were implemented, an option to disallow receiving voice and video messages (or possibly a more advanced toggle of friends, non-friends, etc) might be a good idea.

    This would be a great feature! also add names of the people speaking to the recording, specially since there is alot of trolls and mods can't be in the voice chats at all times and can't ban on just words from others, they need visual/audible proof of rule breaking. And that command would allow them to go through the evidence in a quick and easy way.

    Threat creator means RECORD to file and save on own PC or somewhere else, as it works in TeamSpeak.

    U just activate function, and DS will record all voices what currently in talk room!

    Really useful feature for podcast recording etc.
