I also like this idea. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and the app feels weird in landscape mode because it does kind of feel like it's for a phone.

I’ve wanted this for so long. I’ve had the 10.5 inch and 11inch and would really love having more features like screen share!

I hate to bump this dead idea back to life, but I feel like what we have at the moment on iPad is only the desktop Discord experience if you squint. Using it like a desktop is just impossible.

When you resize the window, the chat does not scale with it, causing text to overflow off to the side. There is so much wasted space in various parts of the app (the settings menu in particular). The worst part is that right clicking is NOT SUPPORTED when using any kind of mouse. Considering most discord accounts get hacked by clicking on one wrong link, doing this when you’re trying to call up the context menu (which you have to do by clicking and holding instead, in contrast to every other iPadOS app) could be disastrous.

No way is this a dead idea. On a 13 inch tablet running mobile versions of an app can be infuriating especially when you cut out so many features. I have an iPad Pro and using the safari version just to be able to watch MULTIPLE STREAMS AT ONCE, not being able to hide and show friends list off to the side (which probably won’t happen while watching streams since it doesn’t work like that on desktop app [wish it did], worst mobile update was not being able to slide to the side to view friends but now having to click on the title of the text chat you’re in), can’t easily view voice chat on the side while watching, can’t hide “non-video participants,” PiP doesn’t seem to work; only on my iPhone, and much more little small features that aren’t available on the tablet ‘glorified mobile’ version.

I have to run on Desktop Site off of Safari which then comes with other nuisances, such as a LARGE BAR up top with unwanted stuff such as the search bar (which I can kind of hide), then unless I delete the discord app (which I don’t want to because of notifications [which notifications suck when you’re on desktop app because notifications are nonexistent to your phone or other devices until you close the current desktop app or go afk]) but if I don’t delete it I will forever have an “Open in the Discord App” banner, PiP don’t think it works on there either, and cant share screen on web browser either.

Sorry about the tangents, I love discord but man there’s just small things that make it hard to navigate or be pleased with what is.
