The ability to hide server banners

Recently our main server got boosted and the owners added a server banner, but I don't like the image and I'd rather have the layout like it was before without awkward scrolling or a big annoying image on the top left. 

I would love it if there could be an option to hide it for yourself so it would be gone entirely until turned back on.
