Just got a response from Discord Rep.

“ Thanks for following up here. This is Jhoana, let me assist you from here!

Just to give you a heads up, this compatibility issue with audio interfaces/XLRs/audio software is currently a known issue that is on our team's radar. I want to reassure you that our team is on the case and working on a fix; however, I sadly don't have an ETA for when a solution will be available.

On the other hand, you can try directly connecting your headset/headphones to your computer (i.e. USB port) and see how it goes.

I'm so sorry that we don't have an immediate solution for you, but please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime and I'd be happy to help.”

Looks like we’re in limbo for now fam.

same here, using Focusrite Clarett usb interface. discord doesn't get sound from my mic when i watch a stream of a friend. if i leave the stream it works fine. this is with h264 off though. when i turn h264 on then streams don't work at all and keep displaying the loading icon while only outputting sound.. turning off and trying every combination of audio/video/hw acceleration settings makes no difference.

however. plugging my mic in the front 3,5mm pc jack does work. sound is horrible according to friend but it does work while watching a stream. a few months ago it used to work perfectly, with noice cancellation AND h264 turned on with zero issues at all.

like the other focusrite and steinberg dude in this thread, it seems like discord has issues with usb interfaces in combination with watching streams? this should be easy to reproduce by discord team.

I may have found a fix!!! It worked for me for those using Scarlett Interfaces: (Mines the 2i2 3rd Gen)

Connect your mic to Left input or first input (I found that the other inputs are buggy when going through discord, so input 1 or left channel is the best).

Install Focusrite USB Driver. (I installed 4.65.5.658)
Open Windows Sound Panel (Can be opened up by right clicking Focusrite Device Settings on the bottom right of the task bar).
Go to "Properties" of your "Recording" device and go to the "Advanced" tab.
Change Default Format to "2 channel and whatever sample rate". (Make sure it's 2 channel)
    Now talk! Hope this helps!

Quick edit: Try doing step one before doing anything else. Switch mic input channel.

Daniel's fix worked. Big thanks to him for finding a fix.

Everybody who have their mic connected to input 2, connect it to input 1 and try different sample rate and buffer size, also try to update focusrite USB driver (althought i had it updated). I think connecting it to input 1 will fix the problem for most of us.

It's very strange, but his post with the fix gets automoderation or something and is pending approval.

    Hope it gets approved soon.

I don't know how to reply directly to Daniel but the Fix that ScavStoleMyTV said was the fix Daniel gave him worked for me. I plugged it in to input 1 on my 2i2. Left discord and came back and adjusted my gain and boom watching a stream and talking. Thanks a ton

And would you look at that... Took discord 4 weeks to process my false-positive message XD

Switching inputs from 2 to 1 worked for me. Makes no sense.

have hade this problem for little over a year now...
im using the Behringer uphoria 202hd paired with Rode podmic and m50x.
switching to left input finally fixed the problem.
still annoying that i've had this problem for a year now, and everytime i wrote to discord through their support they've never answered.
