Default Server Notification Settings

Currently it appears that server settings have it so members get a notification of any new message. It even gives a warning why that is a bad idea, yet it seems to be the default. It should be set to @mentions only by default so a user doesn't get 10,000 notifications as soon as they join a server.

Check to see if you've muted the application in sound settings. Sometimes, you may mute the application, which won't give you any indication when you're inside of it. Check your windows sound settings in your toolbar, go to mixer, and see if Discord is muted GHD Sports for Android

Seems someone beat me to making this suggestion. I completely agree with having it set to mentions only by default because my goodness can it be frustrating to join a server and get bombarded by pings.

Yeah, there should be a "default server notification setting" setting which we can set to any of the server notification settings - I'd set it to "only @mentions" - and then any servers I join from that point forward would use that setting.
