Why didn't I get the beta of discord

I saw that there are some people who received the discord beta, but how does that work??

    I am slightly confused in what you mean by the "Discord Beta", do you mean the banner that is currently in beta? 

    I await your response.

    I am guessing so. I did not get it either but I know from experience the beta stuff is given to random players/servers when in testing. I got the status message beta so I got pretty lucky there. I do know there is a beta and alpha version of discord but I do not know if these have anything to do with the banner and such.

    Hello there! 

    The banner and everything else that was in beta is now in full-effect within the Discord App, and if you wish to have that, you will need to have Nitro. 

    As far as the beta and alpha version of Discord are concerned, I also do not know if these have anything to do with the banner, etc draterttv. That would probably be something that you would have to ask the Support Team here: https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/requests/new cause they would know a bit better than what I would.

    It seems to still be in Beta for me. There is no update option for me on IOS or on PC and I still do not get the option to have banners/about me. I am not sure if I am bugged and have to reinstall the whole app or if more people are just getting the beta and I am unlucky. I have the upgraded version of nitro for $9.99 a month.
