I'm on Linux mint which uses apt and flatpak out of the box. They are absolutely compatible because flatpak (and snaps) are sandboxed.

This would definitely be helpful. The way discord updates now is outdated and clunky. It should be updated via package manager like everything else.

I would love it if they fixed this. It's always a pain when I'm trying to show my friends stuff and I have to share both my screens. Usually the second screen is just discord though!

This gets especially annoying if you have to reinstall Discord for some reason. It completely resets your saved GIFs.
