[Feature Request]: Add a Display Name that can be customized independently from the Internal Name

A feature that allows users to set a custom Display Name that can differ from the Internal Name, the mentions in chats would still use the Internal Name, but the name shown on top of chat messages will be the Display Name, when viewing the user profile both names will be shown (the internal name in slightly darker and lowercase text), lots of other platforms already do this, some notable examples are: twitter.com, gitlab.com, github.com and many more, this would be much appreciated by quite a lot of users I think.

example:

Internal Name: hansen-alex

Display Name: Hansen Alex

    Nicknames already exist, though permissions to set a nickname can be enabled or disabled by moderators, or linked to certain roles.

    Right, I forgot about that feature, maybe adding a "default" Nickname (default Display Name) field to the User Profile tab would be nice then, this way every time you join a new server you Nickname (Display Name) in that server automatically changes to your "default" Nickname (default Display Name) if you have the permissions to do so.
