DO NOT REMOVE DISCRIMINATORS

    Dear Stanislav Vishnevskiy,

I don't know if you're new to the internet, some kind of luddite, or just have all the foresight of Mr. Magoo, but you can't solve the problem of people not being able to remember a 4 digit discriminator by making us fight for the usernames and transforms my VERY MEMORABLE ArakATK - which is tied to my identity as a content creator, to being XxXArakATK135098757237475823987XxX which one do you really think is less memorable? And up until a couple downdates ago (because discord hasn't done UPdates in a few years) if I couldn't remember my discriminator, I could just *boop* my logo in the bottom left and VOILA... it's copied to my clipboard! On mobile? No problem, I can read it right there on the screen! Or even generate a QR code! Now I'm STILL going to have to do those things but without a singular hope of ever remembering what my username is.

Seriously, has NOBODY in your entire company EVER had to make an AOL Instant Messenger username? You're REVERTING to 90's technology. Name#Discriminator was adopted to take us OUT of the dark ages of usernames needing to be individually  - actually you know what, no, the discriminators was always a part of usernames we just used to have to generate them by trial and error. Then you did the brilliance of selecting discriminators for us. Maybe it's sequential, maybe it's random, I don't know and I don't care. It means I didn't have to sit here for hours trying to sign up for a discord username that was a balance of unique, memorable, and fit my identity as a content creator.

This is an absolute astronomical LEAP backward, and as soon as it goes live I will be on the hunt for ANY service that I can try and transfer my platform to. Did y'all forget that your users made you, because we'd had enough with Skype? With ICQ, with AIM? With YIM, and a dozen other platforms that came before you? And like every one of them you've forgotten who you owe your success to because it wasn't you. It was you staying out of your users way. Stop tripping over your own feet. Reverse course immediately because you won't be the first service we've end of life'd, and you won't be the last either.

Yep this is a terrible idea, leave discriminators alone.  The @Xxus3rnam3__1223xX representing "username" is just worse, people are used to it, so you're sitting there thinking its better, but your current system is just better, so leave it please.

yeah. The entire thing is ridiculous, and I cannot BELIEVE they are still pushing it! after all this backlash! It's ridiculous.

If you haven't yet, please also vote and comment on the main post! https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/14337329256983--Do-NOT-add-The-new-discord-usernames-system It's really gaining traction, and the more people see it, the more will cancel nitro over it.

I've already had my user name changed because of this awful idea. It changed my name and my posts in all of the servers I've been in because my preferred username was taken already. Then if you try to change your username and just add the discriminator that was already on your account, it says "This discriminator cannot be updated" Okay? Then why have that option in the app in the first place? Discord what the hell is going on? I just want to easily use the name I use online for everything else. You've made it so that I need to go to each and every individual server to change my "server profile". And I'll have to do this every time I join a new server now, too. This is a much worse scenario than just having a simple 4 digit number to remember.
