When are you going to revert the layout? (Mobile app)
When are you going to revert the layout for the mobile app?
This has been an issue for the majority of your user base ever since it came out.
It has been several weeks now and people have “gotten used to it”. We still don't like it as it is a downgrade in convenience and far less intuitive. We still find ourselves pressing the wrong buttons and struggling to remember where the DMs went.
You probably spent a lot of money developing the new layout and are determined to use it but it's worse and a blatant rip-off of Facebook's app forced into Discord's layout.
Please just revert the layout so we don't have to constantly be annoyed and frustrated.
Sincerely,

Everything this guy said plus the new update has made the app slow for me :/ I used to be able to seamlessly go from server to dm to DM to server to notifications to my profile. Now it takes about 2-3 seconds to load into each and everyone of them. Yes that includes notifications and my own profile. Absurdly frustrating and I'm stunned they haven't reverted it yet. I seriously haven't heard not a singular soul say not ONE, ***ONE*** good thing about the update.

Given Discord's complete lack of response to this massive issue, I am forced to assume at this point that “frustrated and annoyed” is what their goal was. So… mission accomplished I guess?

Yes, the 5s waiting time when switching from DMs to servers is really annoying. Don't understand why instead of a button to dismiss a recommended channel there is now a popup menu on hold with a single entry.
Also the global channel search feature is missing. I got a reply where they say it was intentional to remove that feature which I really don't understand. I miss it a lot.11 -
I also wish that Discord would bring back the notifications badges for ALL new posts, not just DM’s!

Absolutely agree with all the points raised above. The new layout has been a significant step back in terms of usability and intuitiveness, echoing the frustrations many of us have been feeling. It's disappointing to see a platform we rely on for daily communication disregard user feedback to this extent.
The lag and inefficiency introduced with the update only add to the disappointment. It's baffling why essential features were removed or made less accessible, significantly impacting the user experience. The lack of a positive response from anyone about the update speaks volumes.
It's high time the developers took a step back to evaluate the real-world impact of these changes on their user base. For those looking for more insights and discussions on the matter, I found this article to be quite enlightening: https://mayottmedia.com/. Hopefully, it can shed some light on why user feedback is crucial for any service-oriented platform.
Let's hope for a swift and user-friendly resolution soon.
