What Happened to the New Mobile App UI on Discord?
The new UI seems to have overlooked UX considerations. One of the most commonly used features is sending images, yet now the button to upload photos has been tucked away inside a menu, requiring users to take an extra step to upload images...
Why is the seldom-used 'Gift' button prominently positioned on the first layer? I can hardly believe that the 'Gift' button gets used more frequently than other features.
Furthermore, the member list is really important. By relocating it behind the title at the top, I find myself rarely checking who is online now.
Please give careful thought to the practicality and fluidity of usage before altering the UI!
Avoid creating unhelpful UI interfaces, and please don't force updates on our app. Not everyone is looking forward to this so-called "UI improvement".

Agreed, so far every UI change, including swipe actions, has completely rearranged the flow and way things worked. For no good reason either, except in this case, to prominently, and forcefully make you more likely to accidentally click the gift option.
