Discord Support taking ages to remedy hijacked account
It has been over a month since I heard anything from Discord Support. My account got hijacked on April 4th 2024. The last I heard from a Discord Support member was April 14th. I have requested updates and got no response. I even held off from asking for an update for 25 consecutive days because I read that asking for an update on your ticket pushes it to the back of the queue (which is a terrible system). I took to Twitter as well and nothing.
In this time the hijackers have been using my account to hurt my friends' accounts, ruin my current Discord Server and account and even attempted to make purchases on Discord using the card I had on file for Discord Nitro. Thankfully American Express was able to take decisive action and instituted a merchant block against Discord for the time being (and they were not exactly thrilled to hear about the security situation going on here). It only took them 5 minutes with a live agent and it has taken over a month and a half for Discord with nothing to show for it. I paid for Nitro and can easily demonstrate that I owned the account. I am not sure if I will ever pay for Nitro ever again in the future. I really enjoyed the features but if this is the support I am going to be given why should I bother? Every day my account is hijacked is another day I am not getting access to the account I paid for. Yet it has been NORDO this entire time with Support.
My earnest question is what can I do? Should I just give up and forget all the time and energy put into my Nitro account, my Discord servers, and the friends I made along the way? Or is there something I can do to finally resolve this very stressful past few weeks dealing with my account getting hijacked?

Yeah that is what I was afraid of. I checked out the video and while the scam was different I saw a very uncanny resemblance to our situations. The one thing I still find bonkers is how easily they bypassed 2FA that I had setup. I thought I was totally secured with that in-place but evidently it was not implemented correctly on Discord's platform somehow.
I am going to probably start pushing for a refund alongside reaching out to some financial institutions on social media about the lack of financial security and fraud support. Fairly confident it won't amount to much but I got no better options apparently

Discord is unreliable with this kind of thing…….. If I had the money I would sue discord
