Spatialized Audio for sensitive hearing
Since developing a mental illness, I have been unable to participate in discord servers and group chats. In addition to sensitivity with many noises, I struggle a lot in calls. Hearing more than one person's voice come from the same location between my ears in my headphones, or on my monitor speaker, is incredibly distressing and overwhelming. After only a short time, I am ready to smash objects and cry. The overwhelmedness and sensitivity persist for hours after the group voice chat experience, even with only a few people. This is not an issue at all in vrchat, for example, where everyone's voices come from distinct static locations. Teamspeak has had this feature for years! Please add this feature so myself and others with hearing sensitivities can spend time with our friends again.
Below is an example video, as well as another forum post describing how this would be implemented!

also requiring people to sign in (using a non discord.com domain, looks super sus when you get redirected to zendesk) prevented most people I asked to upvote this from upvoting it.

I propose that Discord consider implementing a spatial audio feature. This feature would allow users to hear voices from distinct, static locations, similar to what is available in VRChat and TeamSpeak. This adjustment can make group voice chats more manageable and less overwhelming for users with auditory sensitivities. joinpd
