Suggestion : making messages invisible
The idea is to add an option that allows a user to make one or several messages in a chat invisible for everyone else except for said user.
These messages can be switched back to visible mode with an indication in parentheses similar to the (edited) one to indicate to other users that the message has been turned invisible at least once.
That would give an interesting alternative to message suppression.
The mass selection of messages meant to be turned invisible can be done according to criteras similar to the search option ones :
This feature already exists in various forms in many other softwares.
I believe adding it to Discord would be for the best.

Well, I probably haven't been in situations with a need for this, so hard to judge.
What sample situations for usage do you have?0 -
Could be useful if you want to show someone specific something, but don't want to show the entire chat, and can't go to DM because they have their DM disabled or something.

it could be useful if you wanted to tell a bot to say something like "f r i c k y o u" and you dont want people to see you do itt/..
