Also, frequently used seems broken to me... but maybe it is because reactions don't count? Either way, having a favorites list helps.

An idea I had to expand on this would be making favorite emojis autocomplete first. With nitro, the amount of times I type :PepeL and hit tab to get :PepeLaugh:, but instead it turns into someone's MS paint version called :PepeLaff: is a bit annoying.

Pretty much the only thing holding me back from getting nitro is realizing I either have to remember the code for all the emotes I want to use or scroll endlessly. Way too much effort just to use emotes you like.

There are so many replies on this ticket and its been out for over a year how has this not been implemented yet? Having the ability to "Favorite" emotes would be amazing so I dont have to search down the list of thousands of emotes because they are not appearing in my frequently used yet and I dont remember the emote name :)

Please add this as a feature to discord, it would make going and finding the emote I'm looking for way easier when I've got a super long list of emotes to scroll through...

It takes forever to scroll through the sea of emotes I have just to find the one I remember seeing once and want to use. I cant search them since I cant remember what they're called. some have weird names.So I gotta scroll for like, a solid minute, only for me to just end up giving up as the conversation moves onto something else and I've taken too long to respond. I dont use 90% of the emojis I have. I just want to put my favourite ones at the top so they're there when I need them.

Please!!! The new update literally reset all of my frequently used emotes, and this happens every time you have to log back into an area!! Either hold onto the frequently used ones based on the account and not the specific log-in instance, or let me set them myself rather than spamming the same set of rainbow hearts twenty times to get them to go above the odd default emotes.
Also, why are the default frequents the poop, the two moaning/pain faces, a thumbs up, and a 100??? Like, I get that the moans may be used as jokes, but.. just feels like an odd set ^.^'

This is already a feature! If you hover on an emoji, you can see a popup saying "Alt + click to favorite".

Bro you got lucky then.. must be one of those only certain people get it beta things like the stickers because it doesnt show that for me, and neither does alt clicking do anything for me yet.

Works for me on windows so idk i just realized today because i was on the website discord and it said so
i tried it on the client version and it worked so im happy because i've hoped for this
must have been a recent feature cause i never have realized it before

The feature is definitely there, I just haven't been able to use it without it removing everything after I close discord down.

Yes, this is a feature now, at least on the desktop client. You can favorite an emote if you alt+click it in the emote browser (not sure what the mac keybind is). Favorited emotes will show up in their own, separate category at the top of the emote browser. As of right now, it doesn’t seem that favorited emotes are viewable on the mobile client.

So maybe this wasn't a thing when this post was made, but if you hold Alt and then click the emoji in the picker it is added to a Favorite section at the top.

On the macOS Discord app, this would be option-click. You can do it, and you see a little star appear near the emoji name, and it even gets added to the `EmojiStore` local storage JSON, but it does not show up in the Emote picker UI.
