Spotify local files not showing as status

There's an issue with spotify after the recent update, local files added to a playlist doesn't appear as your status unless you ctrl+r, but even then it only shows that one song for you, no one else can see the song you're listening to. Once it moves to the next local song, it goes blank for yourself.

Was the showing status for local files from spotify disabled since it was added 9 months ago?
