Typing emojis with keyboard selects wrong one because of mouse
답변함When I put an emoji, I usually type the first few letters and Discord is smart enough to know that I want the most common one. For example, if I type ":th" and enter, then it will choose the thumbs up emoji.
The problem is that if my mouse cursor happens to be hovering one of the other options, even if I didn't move the mouse at all, it will assume I want to select that option and not the first/default one, and put the wrong emoji.
This is bad UX, because I'm working solely with the keyboard, mouse should not even be part of the equation, unless I actually move it.
My suggestion is to ignore the mouse hover when selecting the emoji from the list, unless the user actually moves the mouse. That's how it works in the chrome search bar, for example. You type something, but none of the selections are highlighted and the mouse cursor is ignored, unless you move it and then the selection under the mouse is highlighted.
