(Account) Message Archive

Discord saves all your messages regardless if you delete them or not. Let us have an easier way for the Discord team and you yourself to view them all. What I propose is an "Account Message Archive", where all the messages ever sent by you are stored on the account. This tab would require additional password protection because it is personal information.

Things I want to see with this feature:

• All messages in all servers are present. (including left servers etc.)

There are some messages you can not view that you posted yourself, either by being unable to view the channel history or servers you are no longer in.

• Before/After edited messages

When people edit messages, the message changes, and perhaps the meaning of it too. I would like to see what the message was before and after. Some people edit the message to bypass bots etc.

• Interface visuals

The audit log has already been made, the visuals used looks good, however, the audit log deletes past entries after 30 days, this should not be the case, it should be like a server keeping all its messages regardless of them being deleted. You should be able to see all messages you made in any server, or selected DM conversation.

• Selection

Having an easy way to select messages. Examples being browsers, select all, select multiple messages manually, deletes all in a server, channel, etc. The ability to search certain messages, such as links, files etc. and reactions.

• Deleted messages

When messages are deleted it would still be shown, since it is not truly deleted. Having an icon like an eye with a slash over it would be a good indicator in the GUI that only you can view it.

• Privacy

Discord saves all messages for moderation purposes regardless if deleted or not, however, the public does not need to see the users face after they got banned. Having an easy way to remove personal things from past servers are good. The world is wide and there are people we would rather not see us anymore, such as stalkers, haters, and the public in general if we chose so.

• Laws

Laws which Discord should abide by, states, minors have the right to request all data to be deleted. Having an easier way for the Discord Team, and the user to delete messages without unnecessary communication. Said communication may waste time and resources of both parties.

For most of us, we forget, we do not know what we posted 2 weeks ago exactly. If it was personal if it was not. Most are not perfect, having this feature would greatly help parents of minors or the user themselves to delete past mistakes.
