Linked Emotes

From what I was told in an email, apparently discord had an update that changed the way custom emotes work. Now, if you wanted to have two emotes that were put side-by-side to create a single emote, it is no longer possible. At least, it isn't on the android app. Even if you remove the space between the two emotes in your message, discord will still leave a space between the emotes. Perhaps a small change could be made, where the official discord emojis could have this function, but custom emotes could be changed to not have this spacing issue? I really miss using linked emotes, and they were always super fun for memes and other things.
