Better notification sync across mobile clients

I have been using an iPad as my laptop replacement, so naturally I am using Discord on it. Every single time I receive a DM I get a notification on my phone as well **even if I am actively viewing the message thread** and so, I get vibration in my pocket, and a notification that disappears right away. If possible, possibly increase the delay between DM -> Notification on mobile clients?
