Allow discord to remember scroll position in chat
When looking through discord chats on my phone, if I tab out of discord and go to another app for a few minutes and return to discord, discord would have already scrolled back down to the newest messages in the chat. This is frustrating when looking through a large chat log as you lose track of which post you were on. It would be nice to have a feature which allowed discord to remember your position in a chat that you could return to even after tabbing out.

This would be nice on PC also when your internet decides to quit or you restart the app. At least give us bookmarks (like pins, but client-side) to save our position in chat.

Ainai, you can mark a message as unread in each channel, and it will consider that message, and everything below it, unread, and keep track of it for you, making it easy to find where you left off. I don't know if that feature was there 3 or 4 years ago, but I believe I've been using Discord for about 3 years, and it seems like this feature was always there. That said, the reason I'm here is to up-vote the original post, because it's really annoying to switch apps on my phone (Android) and come back to the Discord app, to find it has jumped to the latest post, rather than keeping track of where I was scrolled to before. The fact that this was requested to be fixed 4+ years ago, and it's still not fixed, doesn't give me much hope that it will be fixed anytime soon, unfortunately. *sigh*
