Improving user-blocking experience (read the thread please)

I have a strong feeling that the block option in discord is currently really ineffective when it comes to real application. It's an app built around gaming community, right? Well, a very common thing is, that you share a common space together (a guild server, raiding group or official game discord servers) but there are people you choose to block, or don't want them to see your messages, but you cannot afford to leave the server either.

Currently, the block works perfectly when it comes to DMs. However, when it comes to server application of this feature, it's poorly thought-out result in my opinion. I can easily see what the other person types (if I bother to click the hidden message, and you know, curiosity killed the cat) AND on top of it, the person can see me type as if I have never blocked them, making the whole feature absolutely useless. All it does is that it adds one-click of work for me, but does not break the interaction circle.

I would like to see an option to keep the block mild (just how it is now) and more severe (where it completely erases the persons presence from your user experience) - you don't see their messages, they cannot see yours and maybe not even know you two share a discord server together.

tl;dr - Please, add more options to further isolate myself from blocked people on servers.
