Allow 'replying' to more than one message within a message

I want to 'reply' to more than one person in my messages, which the 'Quote' feature allowed, but the 'Reply' feature does not seem to. Can this be implemented somehow? Currently, messages get lost and forgotten too quickly to reply to them due to the excessive activity on some of the servers I am a member of. Being able to reply to more than one person at once will alleviate that somewhat.
