"A petition for them to remove it". That's literally the message I got when I was using discord And at 3 days ago I had lots of tabs on doing other stuff, And decided to go back to Discord But that was when I had seen that pop-up message. I honestly don't know why discord had added that message, But They should really remove It cause It's frustrating a lot of people.
And again at that time when It happened I had the app and I had gotten a ping and clicked on It and brought me straight into the discord making me bypass the phone verification, But the only problem Is that when I clicked on servers to view messages It wouldn't load and it kept telling me "messages failed to load".
And another good reason why they should remove it is cause some people don't even have phones. And I think It's pretty dumb of Discord for assuming everyone that uses It has a phone. suggestion- They should add an Email verification.
And the thing Is I even contacted them as to why I had gotten that message and for them to remove it, And they said that they're not gonna remove the phone verification. And sometimes the staff would like take a week to reply and at other times they would just ignore you.
And I had to make an alt account and I don't even have my friends tag But I do have my server Invite but it's expired and there's no way for me to make a new one cause I'm locked out of my main account. And here's the feedback - "This feature is really irritating at least add an email verification or remove it completely. There are so many people out there who don't have phones.
And I have like 19 pings already and really want to see where it's from. (I can't even talk to my friends 😭) 
And If you see this message please leave a comment Cause I will reply to you, and I check my emails like 24/7.
And Also I don't even have a phone :(

Please remove this trash, I too don't have a phone and many servers are starting to require that discriminatory highest security-level setting on their communities, effectively locking me out as I do not have a phone.
This stupid verification bullshit doesn't even accept my google voice number which is 100% fully SMS-compatible to boot!

Discord for the Love of god Please Remove this feature i been with you guys for awhile and i have never had this happen and now im paranoid even sending texts to my friends that it might get triggered

why suddenely this pop up in my screen it happened when i first time ever been gifted 1 month nitro and i was changing my pfp now i hear pings and i see discord notifications but i cant contact them even tho i tried that out and i did it all i put phonw number not mine bcz obvisesly i dont have one like everyone else i put a number and i linked it into my pc gmail so its suppost to give me the code in my gmail but after everything i checked everywhere my gmail the phone gmail no sign for the code i didnt find it anywhere so if u can fix this or just remove this discord remove it there is no need uk that most people use disord bcz they dont have phone numbers at the first place and am one of them also if people want or can do this it has a glitch i saw on youtube someone did the same as me even on mobile one gmail one code very simple for him he put his number and everything then he opend his gmail didnt find any discord massege at all same with me it might be a glitch idk but discord plz plz plz fix it or just remove it bcz its not necessary at all u never wanted our numbers before gmail is enought so plz just remove it discord we love this app we have many friends on it that we cant contact them now which makes us feel bad plz discord we wanna continue use ure app and if i make new account i will lose all my friends and servers bcz idk their name tags and this problom dosent happen to all people so thats wierd am just saying to find way to fix that i cant stay alove without discord i wish u see this discord and help us use discord again bcz we really love it its the place where our lives registered on so plz dont let all this go away

270 pings. bruh. when i try to add my TextNow number, it doesnt work. when i try using any other number, it doesnt work. i use my real number, doesnt work. wtf is wrong with discord, remove this crap. its annoying and not everyone has a phone :/ i tried contacting the staff but they be taking too long, and i have a server to run :(
Futhermore, if your going to say "get your parents phone number" in my case, no phone numbers work.
I tried my dads number, my grandmas number, and my own main and second number, they dont work either.
If discord would like their users to have the best experience possible, then please remove this feature. its annoying, it makes many people upset, and its not even needed, or practical.
you ask "why is it not practical?"
well dear user, there are alot of fast typers out there. such as me. if im trying to dm multiple people, how am i supposed to type fast when i get this notice??
i ask for the third time, please remove this horrendous feature :(

GodlyNoobikWasTaken I tried doing that but it said "Google Voice couldn't recognize this as a phone number. Check the number you entered and try again. I don't get the point of selecting a phone number from them since If they ask you if already have a phone number. Do you know like other sites on how to actually get a phone number without human verification, payment method or without have to need an existing phone number that you need to use in order to get a code. I tried looking on how to bypass It but none of them work for me.

Furthermore, what does this even mean? Is it a random automated message, is it a warning for violating a rule? The only thing worse then being practically banned from an account i havent even had for half a year is not knowing why.

Second way to do it to ask your parents to use their phone numbers to verify your discord account

Not to mention you need to verify both your email and phone to be safe from the screen.

ElitePhantom Spam, you say? WHY?!? Why did Discord lock me out when I was confirmed not spam and not a bot by the community? This is a reason as to why they should add a button that, if 10 users press it on a user's profile, then it declares them safe, and cannot get the something's going on here screen.

snoodle Honestly idk but I searched up online that someone else was greeting people with "Hi" to be polite, and they had the same thing happen to them. In my situation, I was doing Karuta and Dank Memer trades, so I said "Hi!" around every time I dm'med someone new from a server. Eventually, I sent another "Hi" and it locked my account. I also think it's really stupid that you will be locked out forever and not get your account back without a phone number - anyawy i dmmed discord on twitter since I saw another person have the same situation and discord helped them so

Vader_109 I have no idea but I contacted them. And they never explained to me why I got that pop-up message. All they said was make sure to use a valid phone number and they said something about a time-out message when I contacted them. And I have no hecking idea how the heck those people make it so that those phone numbers and sms codes work for them, Cause of course looked up on how to bypass it, and none of those hacks work :(
