An option to reply to a member's message privately instead of quoting. Might come in handy when asking for clarification and you don't want to stray from the discussion in the channel. 

The message should be labelled where the message was replied from.

  You can do that in DMs, if you are friends or they allow DMs from other server members

  I am talking about an option here when you click on the ellipsis button on the top right of the message, where if they did allow DMs from servers members it would show a "reply privately"

  Yes, it would be very helpful, just as in WhatsApp, tap on reply privately the message automatically gets tagged to DMs.
