Spell-check fails when using italics

When typing something in-between asterisks for italic text, spell-check fails, it seems to think words are wrong when they aren't. This is a bug.

  I also found this issue, and have been experimenting to help diagnose the specifics. It does the same with multiple asterisks (for bold), underscores, and vertical bars. The odd thing is that it doesn't have the issue until you actually use one of the text edits; something like <this*>, as when correcting a message, doesn't get marked. Inserting other punctuation at the end, like <*this,*> also means it doesn't trip the spell-check issue somehow. It's definitely a strange bug.

  It also happens in bold and cross out like ~~this~~
