Idea for easier editing

I find most of the times when I need to edit something, its due to an easy typo. When Ive made multiple lines of chat text I often misclick the one I want to edit.

right click... click edit, click to clear it, right click again while taking extra time to line it up... click edit, click the part where i want to edit.

It would be nice to be able to simply hold CTRL down and right click the specific word I want to edit and it will both open the editing window as well as highlight the word i was hovering over.
