I feel like system of leaving comments on individual messages to avoid interrupting chat would be a great addition to discord. The ability to comprehensively react to a message or announcement in depth without disrupting the flow of the conversation would help communication between users improve dramatically. I can't think of the amount of times I've wanted to respond to a message that was sent 12 messages ago, and this would make it possible.

  This is a killer feature! OpenLand built all its functionality on this.

  Really offloads chats and makes them look more like a forum.

  Discord would benefit greatly from the adoption of a system that allows users to leave comments on specific messages rather than breaking up conversations. Communication between users would significantly improve if it was possible to thoroughly respond to a message or announcement in depth without interfering with the flow of the conversation.
